How We Pack: Production and Packaging of Our Skincare Essentials

Did you know that at gloowy, we apply each label on our skincare essentials ourselves and pack every single order by hand? The journey of a small business is exciting and diverse, so today we're showing you the decisions we've made regarding packaging and shipping. We love simple, effective, and understandable skincare routines and founded gloowy to simplify skincare and make it accessible to everyone. This core idea reflects in every step we take. From intense discussions about packaging options to selecting suppliers from Germany, we've worked hard to develop products that meet our high standards.

Grass Cardboard for Shipping

Our shipping boxes are made from 45% grass and 65% recycled paper. This is not only eco-friendly but also looks much more aesthetic (in our opinion). Grass cardboard is made from renewable resources, which reduces the CO2 footprint and saves energy and water during production. Despite this, it's sturdy enough to deliver our products safely to your home. We love our shipping boxes, and we hope you do too!

Recyclable Brown Glass Bottles

Regarding our face serums, we opted for 30ml and 50ml brown glass bottles. They are not only recyclable but also protect our serums from UV radiation, extending their shelf life. Since our distribution currently runs exclusively through our online shop, gloowy.com, we can forego additional packaging while ensuring that our serums are well-protected.

Short Supply Chains

We take pride in the fact that our serums and facial tools are developed in local labs, and our glass bottles and shipping boxes are sourced from Germany. Short supply chains and top quality are of utmost importance to us. With each product you hold, you’re holding a multitude of decisions, considerations, and incredibly inspiring conversations—and we hope you can feel that too!

Mindfulness in Production

Mindfulness accompanies us throughout the entire process. That’s why we always use reusable, recyclable, or certified materials. Every single step is carefully considered to ensure we make the best possible decision. We might be at 70% right now, but we are motivated to make the most responsible choices for gloowy and the skincare industry.
