Your daily SPF: Die beste Sonnencreme für ölige Haut

Check your sunscreen for pore-clogging ingredients to keep your skin glowing and healthy – no clogged pores allowed!

Hey, welcome! I'm Freya, the founder of gloowy, and I'm here to share my skincare journey and personal tips for healthy skin. If you caught my last post, "8 Skincare Mistakes I’ll Never Make Again," you know my skin isn’t the easiest to manage. At gloowy, we’re all about simple and sophisticated skincare that have totally transformed my skin. And if you’re as obsessed with skincare as I am, you know sunscreen (SPF) is a must-have in any routine.

I’ve tried tons of SPFs and ditched them because of their texture, how they felt, or because they caused breakouts. Sometimes, the culprit is the SPF itself. So, I started paying close attention to ingredient lists before adding products to my cart.

My holy grail: The Comedogen Check With the Comedogen Check, you can scan your skincare ingredients for pore-clogging (comedogenic) ones. These ingredients can block pores and lead to breakouts (check out our article on Pore Clogging Ingredients for more). Just pop the full ingredient list into the tool, and it’ll highlight potential pore-cloggers in red. This helps you spot ingredients that might mess with your skin. If you have a skin condition, it's always smart to chat with your dermatologist before trying new products. But the Comedogen Check is a great starting point for spotting potential issues with your sunscreen.

I believe everyone deserves to glow, but understanding your skin and ingredient effects is key to finding the right skincare (and SPF). The Skin Guide and Comedogen Check are here to help you get closer to a healthy glow with our online tools.
